Watch Annecy pick at 2019 Fajr Film Festival

For animation lovers, Fajr fest 2019 in Iran has Annecy festival selection 'The Last Fiction' on the screening schedule.

The animated flick will be screened at the animation section of the 2019 Fajr Film Festival to be held in Iranian capital city of Tehran as well as some other provinces in the country.

The globally acclaimed Iranian toon directed by Ashkan Rahgozar is an open adaptation of the story of Zahhak - a page from the historical identity of Iranians and one of the central tales of the 'Shahnameh' which is a masterpiece by great Persian poet Ferdowsi.

The title was invited by 2018 Annecy fest in France as well as Cannes to the event of Marché du film which is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival.

The flick is expected to win honors at the competitive strand of 2019 Fajr fest in the animation section of Symorgh awards.
